  • What's a more inexpensive, single-board alternative to the NetFPGA boards?

I want a small, inexpensive 2x gigabit PHY + FPGA computer, where I implement 2x gigabit NIC:s in the FPGA, and then use those two NIC:s from FreeBSD/Linux on a separate ARM/PowerPC chip, to implement a firewall.

What is suitable hardware for this?

NetFPGA is nice but it requires a separate PC, and the hardware costs 1400 USD - I believe that the hardware could cost as little as 100-200 USD, if I just would know the market better. Please let me know -

    Thanks!!
